In February 2020, Victoria’s Secret announced its campaign, Love Cloud, which was conceived to be more inclusive in terms of participation. The campaign brought together models from different spheres of life, such as a fitness coach, a woman in a wheelchair, or a girl with Down syndrome, like Sofia.

Sofia is a girl with Down syndrome from Puerto Rico. Since an early age, she dreamt of being part of the fashion world.
In February 2020, a fashion designer, Marisa Santiago, invited her to walk at New York Fashion Week, an event that was the start of the model’s journey.
“Yesterday, I achieved a dream. I was born for this, and I want to show the world that I have everything a model needs to shine,” wrote Sofia in an Instagram post.
The model is the first one with Down syndrome casting for Victoria’s Secret
Being part of the new campaign of Victoria’s Secret was a life goal for Sofia. She was so excited and emotional.
“One day I dreamed about it, I worked to get there, and today it’s a dream come true. I can finally tell you my big secret. I am the first Victoria’s Secret model with Down syndrome! Thank you all for always supporting me in my endeavors. This is just the beginning!” wrote Sofia.
Sofia also has her own brand.
She has an accessories brand, which includes notebooks, bags, mugs, phone cases, etc. All of them are designed by Sofia. Her brand’s name is Alavett, which, when pronounced, says “I love it”.
