The resurgence of conspiracy theories surrounding Michael Jackson has been sparked by comments from his collaborator and producer, Teddy Riley, suggesting the late singer might still be alive.

Riley, 51, known for his work with Jackson on the Dangerous album, has stirred speculation with his belief in Jackson’s continued existence.

Challenging the widely accepted narrative of Jackson’s passing in Los Angeles on June 25, 2009, Riley took to Twitter in November 2010, stating, “If people can think Elvis is still alive why the F#*@ I cant [sic] think Michael is still alive.”

His tweet came shortly after a fan shared Akon’s belief in Jackson’s concealment and eventual return, to which Riley responded, “Akon is my friend and we think alike.”

Akon, 45, who collaborated with Jackson on a remix of Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’ for the 25th anniversary release of Thriller, has also asserted his friendship with the late star, releasing the tribute song Cry Out Of Joy following Jackson’s death.

Adding to the intrigue is Jackson’s former stylist and hairdresser, Steve Erhardt, who hinted at a surprise for Jackson’s loyal fans. In a cryptic Facebook message to “believers” in 2017, Erhardt teased upcoming news, stating, “And in a couple of months, or latest at the end of the year, you will be receiving some very good news. It’s almost unbelievable. And not even the family knows… but I do.”

Erhardt’s mysterious posts, including one featuring a photo of a man’s leg in Jackson’s signature attire, have fueled speculation about Jackson’s potential return.

The debate surrounding Jackson’s alleged survival has even spawned a YouTube channel, “BeLIEve,” dedicated to exploring the possibility.

Michael Turegano, who has delved into Jackson’s death for nearly a decade, emphasizes the significance of Erhardt’s statements, suggesting they shouldn’t be disregarded. He stated last year, “He’s been in contact with Michael in the past. So I think we should care what he says.”
